How to navigate through your session

Description

 

Sessions can be used in embedded mode only, and they open in the Dashboard, at left of the Entry List. Below are instructions on how to navigate through sessions.

 

When connecting to a Remote Desktop Manager session, the toolbar at the bottom of your screen allows you to select different options to navigate through your session.

From the Connections list, tap on the Action Menu next to the chosen session and select Open. The session is opened

The session opens in the Dashboard. Tap the Expand Window button to enter the full screen display mode.

The Navigation Toolbar

 

The toolbar below the session offers many useful features. It allows the user to type or send shortcuts with the keyboard, change the mouse behavior, and more.

ToolbarKeyboard

Display the touch keyboard.

ToolbarKeyboardExtended

Display the extended keyboard (F1, Esc, Tab, Numerical, etc...).

ToolbarRightClick

Activate the right-click for the next finger tap. This feature can be use along with the Touchpad Mode, which will control where the right-click action will occur.

ToolbarTouchPad

Activate the mouse cursor. When this feature is enabled, the entire screen acts as a touchpad. When it is disabled, use finger gestures to control the session.

ToolbarCtrl

Tap to activate the Ctrl key for keyboard shortcuts or item selection.

ToolbarAlt

Tap to activate the Alt key for keyboard shortcuts.

ToolbarShift

Tap to activate the Shift key for multiple item selection.

ToolbarWin

Tap once to activate the Windows key for one keyboard shortcut. Tap twice to display the Windows Start Menu.

 

This key applies only when connecting to a Windows host with an RDP session. When using an ARD session to connect to a macOS host, the Windows key is replaced by the Command key.

ToolbarMore

Open the session's action menu. Select between the following features:

 

Log Off (Log Off the connected user, then disconnect the session)

Fit to Screen (Scale the remote display to make it fit the screen)

Zoom 1:1 (Don't scale the remote display  and keep its actual size)

Maximize/Minimize (Maximize to display the session using the entire screen, Minimize to use only the Dashboard area)

Enter/Exit Fullscreen (Toggle the fullscreen mode. Only when maximized.)

 

Multiple Opened Sessions

 

When working with multiple sessions simultaneously, you can easily navigate through them by using the tabs above the Dashboard. Simply tap on the tab of a running session to restore it.

The same tabs are displayed above the session when not in full screen mode.

Close and reconnect sessions by accessing the tab's action menu.

Running Sessions

 

All opened session are listed in the Running section of the application. Select the Running section from the Navigation Bar. Tap on a session to focus on it.

Close sessions by using the Action Menu.
