Import Data Source Configuration

Description

 

To simplify deployment for multiple users, it is possible to import data source configuration files. Export the file from Remote Desktop Manager for macOS or Windows. Connect the iOS device to a computer to copy the file to the device with iTunes. From the iOS device, import the file in the application.

 

Steps

 

1.From Remote Desktop Manager for macOS or Windows, export the data source configuration. Navigate to File � Data Sources, select the data source to import on the iOS device, click on Export Data Source Configuration�, and save the .rdd file on the computer.

2.Launch iTunes and connect the iOS device to the computer. In iTunes, select the iOS device.

3.Navigate to the Apps section and scroll down to the File Sharing area. Select RDM and click on Add files

4.Select the .rdd file exported from Remote Desktop Manager for macOS or Windows. The file is now copied in the device but still needs to be imported in Remote Desktop Manager for iOS's file repository.

5.From the iOS device, launch Remote Desktop Manager and tap More at the bottom of the entry list. Navigate to the Tools section and select File Repository.

6.Tap on the ellipsis icon and select Import.

7.Select the .rdd file imported with iTunes and tap Done. The file is now available to Remote Desktop Manager for iOS.

8.Back in the More section, navigate to the data source list and tap Import.

9.Select the .rdd file from the file repository.

The data source is now imported in the application.
